The recovered Byzantine empire was large, but it had not completely destroyed the turks. One turkish leader had opposed Byzantine empire since the reign of John X(not a reference to a possible living person, a father of Manuel I who is the father of Manuel II, who is the father of the current emperor, John XI), but he was won, and forced to leave the roman lands. But he made a fierce force of Turks, and proclaimed himself to be the sultan of the turks. His name was Suleiman(read the earlier ruler's name), and in John XIs reign, his Grandson, Suleiman III, returned, and attacked to Anatoly with 34 000 men, from witch 14 400 were horse-archers, 19 200 melee-cavalry, and 400 sultan's personal bodyguards. In journey, 12 000 turks joined their army, and they had 46 000 men. Meanwhile, John XI, who had heard from that, and had other army in greece than his royal army, went to eastern border of his empire, and changed his army to better form in means of comfronting the turks. At same time, Suleiman had won the Initial defences, and attacked to the Byzantine army. But John, knowing that his infantry couldn't hold the cavalry charge, used samelike army that turks used. He managed to get the turks trapped inside his soldier circle, and won them with his betterly equipped and experienced army. The lands were reconquered, and Sulwiman III was executed.
