Musketeers on front line. Pikmen directly behind them in case of a frontal attack. Dismounted conquistidores behind them to fill in gaps when infantry hit your pikmen. Also use them to guard the flanks from being overrun with cav. Use the Dis Portuguese Knights the same way. Use your horse archers to harass the enemies archers as they advance or against enemy cav. Lastely use the Knights to guard a flank and keep enemy cav from charging your flanks. Tips- Your Musketeers should win an engagment with any possible group of archers but if you get nervous add one or maybe two more. Once they decimate the enemy archers use them to thin the enemy as it advances its infantry. As they get to close you can retreat them behind your inf or you can allow them to stand and fight. They make decent inf and will last a little while. Unless charged with cav. Dont worry too much if your horse archer is chased down. They are mostly to provide a distraction to your enemies attention. Keep his attention moving to two different spots. If you cant use them then replace them with one of the units already listed to buffer your lines. I also left one spot open depending on what you think you will need more of. If you have any comments about my strat I would be glad to get an email. But its a pretty standard strategy used by a lot of people. Note this strat only works in late period.
