Whoops, i havnt been there for a month. But now i am there again, and ready to write again! This time, it is a turkish civil war.
Note: This isn't a real army, but just a story. The "real" number of troops in my armies is 10 times the huge-setting, unless i say otherwise.
When the Byzantine empire drove the turks of for a second time, their leader was died, and when they got out of there, they were in a civil war between Qilich(not confused with Qilich Arslan), and real sultan Selim II(read the earlier). Selim had larger forces, but Selim had better, and he was better military commander, too. The two armies met at beach of the Caspian sea, and prepared for battle. Neither side used horse archers.
Qilich chose the top of a hill in position to his army. His infantry covered the flanks and the front, and his cavalry covered the rear. His archers and musketeers hid behind his main lines, so that they could not be seen.
Selim leaved his skirmisher and militia infantry behind, deciding to resolve the battle via cavalry and mercenaries. Soon he was there, ready to attack to the Qilich's army. But first he sent his mercenaries to do a scout attack and find possible trap. Qilich ordered his archers not to fire and keep hiding, and so Selim tought that the enemy had no archers. And so he ordered his cavalry to charge to assist the mercenaries.
But when they charged, Qilich's archers suddenly rose, and fired a wolley of arrows into their ranks, same time his cannons begun to shoot them. The ground was muddy due to yesterday's rain, and the cavalry losed many troops because of this. But they were still pushing Qilich's line. But when they broke it, musketeers shot at them, and suddenly Qilich's guard infantry charged to them. The cavalry routed, and Selim was killed by the arrows. Qilich's losses were hard, about 1/10 of his army, but Selim had lost nearly a half. His son continued the resistance, but soon he was defeated...
