Maximillian VII(If there is a historical person called on that name, this isn't him)was the king of Sicily, Holy Roman Emperor, and King of Denmark. He was a good king, but trusted too much on the King of France. The King of France, Louis X(Read the earier) had a dream of developing a great French Empire(see my english army). He had captured the northern Italy earlier. Maximillian heard that the recovered Byzantine Empire's Emperor was marching with his armies to Sicily. He immediately took a large portion of his forces and went to southern Italy to solve the problem. He speaded his force all across the southern Italy. But the Byzantines did not attack. Maximillian begun to disband the militia, free the kninghts from duty, and gave holidays to his soldiers. Once he was at north of Syracuse in a camp, when the Byzantines attacked. A militia force came towards the camp, but they were routed quickly. Then a small group of Latinkons and Varangians attacked to the camp, but the halberdiers managed to defend the camp long enough to allow other to came aid. Then The byzantine cavalry attacked. The sicilians were wawerinng, but at the last moment the militia cavalry and bodyguards flanked the byzantines, and sicilians won. But Byzantine navy was still there, but cannons and a few ships managed to drive them away. There were some other landings meanwhile, but eventually they were won. But same time in Germany, things were not okay...(I will continue this later)
