Note: This is only a a part of my story, not a real army. Read also my other stories. A "real" number of soldiers in my all armies is ten times huge-setting.
This reads in French, Venetian and Sicilian armies.
When King Francis I had failed to take Venice by assault, he decided to starve it by a naval blockade. Their big navy surrounded the Venice, and cut it out from the rest world. The venetian Doge decided to break the blockade. Their navy, with some specialist ships, like arguebusier ships and mortarships, they attacked to the french navy. But the french navy was much larger and the venetians couldn't break trought. Their bombards surprised the French and destroyed some ships, but these were stationed on teh weakest ships, and when they had took over or destroyed, the Venetian navy was surrounded, and destroyed captured. The siilian navy arrived. It was a little larger, and used a circle formaton, what allowed the French navy to surround it, but not to destroy it's formation. But they were outnumbered, and eventually they retreated. Now the french navy was ale to starve the venetians, but when the "siege" lasted too long, the king ordered to made another attack with his new and experienced army, whitch had been in wars in Denmark. Meanwhile, the Sicilians made another navy to make a last stand in Venice, and venetians prapared to face their dooms...
