 Each Friday, men of Islam are expected to attend the khutba sermon, typically held in a larger mosque known as a Jama. Since the Friday prayer is a mandatory weekly sermon, many men travel to reach a Jama – Thus they are invariably huge, impressive structures, showing every sign of opulence and richness that Islamic mandate allows.
