Druzhinas are a left over from Viking times, and their ancestry is evident in the wicked axes they carry. They serve as the bodyguards for a leader or nobleman. However, 'Druzhinniks' are free to leave and join other Druzhinas if they wish to. On the battlefield they fight as effective heavy cavalry.
